Borough police were alerted to a group of burglars on the 2300 block of Alfred Drive at the Parkview Court apartments around 8:15 p.m., they said in a release.

Officers arrived and spotted one man still sitting inside a victim's parked car, the department wrote. Police said he had a Glock 19 reported stolen out of North Carolina and a "large amount" of marijuana on his person.

The unnamed suspect was arrested and faces multiple charges, according to authorities.

Yeadon police said the borough is facing a rise in vehicle break-ins and reminded residents to keep their cars locked. Steering wheel locks are available at the station and all suspicious activities can be reported to 911, they added.
